Fresh production warrants against Delhi serial blasts accused

A court in New Delhi issued a fresh production warrant against 11 accused in Delhi serial blasts of September 13 last year after the Gujarat police failed to produce them.

A court in New Delhi on Friday issued a fresh production warrant against 11 accused in Delhi serial blasts of September 13 last year after the Gujarat police failed to produce them.

A Metropolitan Magistrate sought the presence of the accused, who are at present lodged in Sabarmati jail in Ahmedabad, for their alleged role in serial blasts of July 26 last year there, before the court on November 12.

Out of the 12 accused arrested so far in the cases, Mohd Hakim was produced before the court, which remanded him to judicial custody till November 12.

Among the accused, Mohd Saif is also wanted in Jaipur serial blasts cases.

A series of blasts had rocked the national capital on September 13 last year, killing 26 persons and injuring 135.

Accused Mohd Saif, Zeeshan Ahmed, Mohd Shakeel, Zia-ur Rehman, Saquib Nissar, Quamuddin Kapadia, Mohd Sadiq Sheikh, who have been chargesheeted in blasts cases in New Delhi, are at present in Ahmedabad.

Other accused, Mansoor Asghar Peerbhoy, Mobin Kader Sheikh, Akbar Ismail Chaudhary and Asif Basir Sheikh, who are accused of sending terror emails to different media houses just minutes before the serial blasts, have also been taken to Ahmedabad.
