"The entire country is interested in the case. The gag order is against public interest," senior advocate Meenakshi Lekhi told a bench headed by chief justice D Murugesan who referred the case to a single judge bench. The matter will now be heard by a single judge bench of justice Rajiv Shakder.

District and sessions judge RK Gauba had on Wednesday dismissed a petition challenging a metropolitan magistrate's order imposing the gag order.
