Two bike-borne snatchers attacked a businessman in high security Connaught Place area on Monday afternoon and snatched a bag full of cash.

Police said the assailants, who were well dressed and were carrying laptops, posed as sales executives and snatched the bag containing Rs 1.56 lakh. "Ganga Singh, an employee of Loke Nath and Sons, had gone to exchange some old notes and withdraw some cash. While he was walking back to his shop, two bikers snatched his bag of cash from his hands," KC Dwivedi, additional commissioner of police (New Delhi) said.
A case of snatching has been registered at the Parliament street police station and further investigations are on. The incident had taken place at 12:30pm.
Meanwhile, a gang of five men, including two brothers, who had carried out close to 50 snatching across the Capital and remained elusive by changing their residences, were arrested in south Delhi on Monday.
Chhaya Sharma, deputy commissioner of police (south) said Vikram, 23, Vinod Binu, 30, Bishan Singh, 30, Sunil, 33, and Anand Kumar Sony, 42 were wanted in at least 43 incidents of snatching across the capital before being arrested from RK Puram's sector 7.
"They would bend the number plates of their vehicles and switch from one residential address to evade arrest," the DCP said.
