The Delhi government on Monday moved the Supreme Court, challenging the acquittal of alleged underworld don Babloo Srivastava in the Lalit Suneja murder case.

A bench of Justices Arijit Pasayat and LS Panta granted leave on the appeal which challenged the acquittal order passed by the Delhi High Court in March this year.

Srivastava and another person Nitin Shah were earlier sentenced to life imprisonment by a Sessions Court for the alleged murder of businessman Lalit Suneja.
