The civic body is also aiming at clearing the city of stray cattle. It was setting up an animal shelter in Katarpuri village near Palam Vihar where stray cattle including pigs would be kept.
The shelter would start functioning from January 26. Municipal Commissioner Rajesh Khullar, in a meeting headed by minister of state for agriculture and cooperation Sukhbir Singh Kataria, gave the details about these drives at the municipal office on Tuesday.
