Germanic and Romance Studies and English (Hons) are the only two courses under the Faculty of Arts that are yet to approve the new syllabi.

“The decision was taken in last week’s meeting after a very long debate,” said Kusum Aggarwal, head of the department.

Some members of the committee, however said no such decision had been taken. “In the last meeting we had opposed the system. No meeting took place today. This is absurd,” said Vibha Maurya, a professor in the department who is a member of the committee.
