Govt likely to issue statement on Telangana today

A statement to diffuse the situation in the wake of announcement of a separate Telangana is likely to be issued by the government. The Congess party today held a meeting which was attended by Pranab Mukherjee, P Chidambaram, AK Antony, M Veerappa Moily and others.
