Govt to send informative SMSes

You may soon start getting informative SMSes from Delhi government. With a steady rise in number of mobile phone users, chief minister Sheila Dikshit said plans are afoot to use the medium to to disseminate all kind of information. HT reports.

You may soon start getting informative SMSes from Delhi government. With a steady rise in number of mobile phone users, chief minister Sheila Dikshit said plans are afoot to use the medium to to disseminate all kind of information.

"We want the people to get whatever information they want without going to government offices. We want to make the best use of technology," Dikshit said at a workshop on e-governance.
