Heavy rains lashed the capital this morning leading to water logging in some places and slowing down traffic in the city.

Heavy rains lashed the capital Monday morning leading to water logging in some places and slowing down traffic in the city.

Several parts of the city received heavy rains from around 9 am.

The rains caused water logging in some areas like Laxmi Nagar.

The minimum temperature was recorded at 26.9 degree Celsius, normal for this time of the year but 0.7 degrees up from Sunday . The maximum was at 34.8 degree Celsius on Sunday.

On Sunday, the city witnessed a pleasant day as the spell of relatively comfortable weather continued in the city with a cloud cover and overnight rains keeping the mercury at a tolerable level. Weather forecast predicted a generally cloudy sky with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers on Tuesday with mercury likely to oscillate between 27 and 35 degree Celsius.
