Identified as Fehmida, she was apprehended on a tip-off from the Interstate Bus Terminal (ISBT)-Seelampur flyover on Sunday, the police said.

Around 2.5 kilograms of the drug were recovered from her, said Sanjay Kumar Jain, deputy commissioner of police (crime and railways).

During interrogation, police claimed, she disclosed that her stint in drug trafficking started partly due to her ex-husband, who was an alcoholic.

Police said Fehmida had procured the consignment from the wife of one Laloo Pehalwan on Sunday and was going to her house when she was arrested.
