Political parties in Delhi paid homage to Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar on his 122nd birth anniversary.
Chief minister Sheila Dikshit said her government was setting up a residential school to give free education to SC, ST, OBC, minorities and orphan children.
Also, the Delhi unit of BJP organised a community feast at Burari where its national leaders had food with about 22,000 members of the schedule cast community.
On the occasion, Delhi BJP president Vijay Goel expressed his anguish on the condition of Dalits in Delhi.
