Jaswant to return to BJP?

After a dramatic exit from the BJP — he was expelled from the party over the phone — Jaswant Singh sparked speculation on Friday that he wanted to return to the party. Vikas Pathak reports.

After a dramatic exit from the BJP — he was expelled from the party over the phone — Jaswant Singh sparked speculation on Friday that he wanted to return to the party.

"I spent 32 years there. How can I get it out of my blood stream?" he said about the BJP. But he stood by his controversial book praising Muhammad Ali Jinnah, for which he was expelled.

Insiders say party chief Nitin Gadkari is willing to consider Singh's return. Singh also met LK Advani several times recently. Advani flew him to Bhairon Singh Shekhawat's funeral.

Singh had also voted with the BJP on the recent cut motions.
