“Some internal fights that happened in the alliance did cause losses to NDA. JD(U) also suffered losses. The concern was expressed in the meeting over this aspect and we will discuss how to solve whenever a meeting of NDA takes place,” party president Sharad Yadav told reporters after the conclusion of the meeting today.

“BJP is the biggest party in the alliance hence definitely they are to be blamed more but they alone cannot be blamed totally,” Yadav said.

Yadav also felt that the kind of understanding that should have been in the alliance during elections was missing this time and recalled the “good-old days” during Atal Behari Vajpayee’s time.

“The kind of understanding that should been in the alliance like what it was during Atal ji’s time was somehow missing,” Yadav said adding that although the NDA fought in alliance but the “grip” was somewhat missing.

“There was an alliance but it was not like the one in past. NDA was visible but only at few places not at all places. We should have focused on farmers in our election campaign as we had so many leaders from village background. But we did not go together at many places,” Yadav said.
