Arun Kaura, his wife Renu and daughters Sudhi and Kanika, were among the 12 people from Delhi, who died in the incident.

The relatives of the Kauras, residents of Paschim Vihar, went to the hospital to identify their bodies after they were fished out from the lake.

However, there was a bit of confusion.

"One of the bodies shown to them for identification was that of someone else," an official said.

The relatives became anxious until they were told that by mistake, the body had been taken to another hospital.

"The bodies are now being airlifted to the capital in a private airline. They could not be brought in the chartered flight that airlifted eight other bodies to the capital," the official said.

So far, the death toll in the boat mishap in Thekkady lake stands at 41.
