Kidnapped child rescued from Kathmandu

Five days after she was allegedly abducted, the Delhi Police have rescued the three-year-old daughter of an Indian Railways official from Kathmandu.

Five days after she was allegedly abducted, the Delhi Police have rescued the three-year-old daughter of an Indian Railways official from Kathmandu.

"Vaibhavi, the child, is an LKG student at a local government school. Her father, Venkateshwar Chaturvedi, is an inspector with the Indian Railways’ and stays at the Gulabi Bagh area," said a police officer requesting anonymity.

Police said they were informed about the incident on June 6, by the child's parents, who claimed their domestic help, Suraksha Shreshth hailing from Nepal, was last seen with Vaibhavi.
