The Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) judge Swarana Kanta Sharma directed New India Assurance Company, with which the truck was insured, to pay Rs 20,35,050 to the wife, three minor children and parents of deceased Surjeet Singh.
"It is prima facie clear that the accident in the case had taken place with the offending vehicle driven by its driver (Hitesh Kumar Devjibhai Dayani) due to his rash and negligent driving causing Singh’s death," the court said.
