Land fraud case filed against 1 DDA, 7 MCD officials

The Delhi Police have filed a case of land fraud against seven officers of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and a senior officer of Delhi Development Authority (DDA). The case was registered after the direction of a court on Monday.

The Delhi Police have filed a case of land fraud against seven officers of Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and a senior officer of Delhi Development Authority (DDA). The case was registered after the direction of a court on Monday.

"Name of 33 people have been mentioned in the FIR which also includes few builders and property dealers. The complainant has alleged that illegal construction was going on a government land in Pul Prahlad Pur area of southeast Delhi," a police officer said. The President of Prahladpur village Jan Kalyan Samiti, Kishan Gupta, had approached the court, seeking action against DDA and MCD officials.

A case of cheating and prevention of corruption act has been registered and FIR mentioned the name of Rajeshwar Prasad, commissioner, land management, DDA.
