Lashkar active in neighbouring countries

Pakistan-based banned terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is spreading its network in India's neighbouring countries, including the Maldives, parliament was informed Tuesday.

Pakistan-based banned terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) is spreading its network in India's neighbouring countries, including the Maldives, parliament was informed on Tuesday.

"Available input indicates that the LeT is developing links in India's neighbouring countries, including the Maldives," Minister of State for Home Affairs Ajay Maken said in a written reply in the Lok Sabha.

"India and the Maldives continue to work closely in strengthening bilateral security cooperation. Our security concerns are conveyed through the bilateral channels with the concerned countries," he said.
