According to the bar association a judicial magistrate of Gurgaon district court misbehaved with an advocate of Delhi named Vikas Yadav, who had gone to Gurgaon court on October 14 to appear for his client in a case u/s 138 of N.I. Act.

Thousands of litigants visiting the various district courts were disappointed to see the lawyers on strike. "My civil suit is pending for years in court, with this strike my matter is further delayed," said Prem Prakash, a resident of Pitampura, who came to Saket district court.

Rajeev Khosla, spokesperson, coordination committee of all bar associations of Delhi said, "The lawyers in all six district courts here and the courts in Haryana are not appearing in regular matters. We are demanding action against the judicial magistrate for his alleged misbehaviour."

However, the elections for office bearers of New Delhi bar association were held at Patiala House.
