Light rains bring down temperature in capital

Light rains in some parts of the capital today due to a western disturbance over Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir led to a drop in mercury.

Light rains in some parts of the capital today due to a western disturbance over Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir led to a drop in mercury. The showers brought the maximum temperature down to 34.8 deg C, one degree below normal for this time of the year.

The minimum was at 20.1 deg C, which was also one degree below normal.

The light showers was caused by a western disturbance over Pakistan and Jammu and Kashmir, the MeT office said. The official predicted the possibility of light rains or thunder showers in some parts of the capital tomorrow. The temperature is likely to be between 21 and 32 deg C.
