Maid commits suicide in Mandi house

A 25-year-old maid allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan at the servant quarters of Sangli Apartment in Mandi House area in central Delhi. According to the police, the deceased, identified as Monika, was upset over a minor spat she had with her husband over the issue of taking care of their two-year-old daughter.

Monika lived with her husband Dharmendra and daughter in the servant quarter situated at the fourth floor of Sangli Apartment. Monika worked as a maid in the apartment while Dharmendra works there as a sweeper, the police said.
