Man dies in freak accident

A 24-year-old man was choked to death after his neck allegedly got stuck between automatic doors of a parked school bus at Pushp Vihar on Sunday, police said.

A 24-year-old man was choked to death after his neck allegedly got stuck between automatic doors of a parked school bus at Pushp Vihar on Sunday, police said.

According to police, the man, identified as Sanjay, worked as a bus cleaner at the Birla Vidya Niketan School, where the incident occurred around 1 pm on Sunday afternoon.

Sanjay, who was allegedly alone when he was choked to death, was cleaning the hydraulic gate system of the low-floor school bus before his neck allegedly got stuck in it.

Police said that it was a freak accident, “While cleaning the automated gate, we suspect that he must have pressed the close button of the door.
