The man said his son was being framed. According to the father, the boy had come to Delhi with his mother after attending a wedding in Lucknow. “He has got nothing to do with the case. I paid R3 lakh to the elderly citizen to bail my son out of any trouble. There was a theft in his house and he blamed my son,” said the father.

According to the police, the juvenile had killed the widower, DK Joshi, to avenge his humiliation. Joshi was found murdered at his duplex house in Vasant Kunj on Sunday.

Two days later, the police apprehended the boy.
