Man found dead in a Delhi hotel room

Rahamutulla arrived in New Delhi from Saudi Arabia on April 7 and had been staying in the Star View Hotel in Paharganj since then.

Delhi Police on Wednesday recovered the body of a man from a hotel room in the Capital.

Rahamutulla, 32, was found dead in a locked room of the Star View Hotel in Paharganj in central Delhi.

The manager of the hotel told police that the deceased - who was from Chennai - was last seen on Tuesday night and despite making repeated efforts to contact him, they failed to get any response. The body was recovered after police broke open the hotel's room.

Rahamutulla arrived in New Delhi from Saudi Arabia on April 7 and had been staying in the same hotel since then.

"Initial investigations suggest some sign of scuffle in the room, but a clear view can only be established after a post-mortem report," police said.
