Man held for raping stepdaughter

A 45-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his stepdaughter continuously for six months, police said on Monday.

A 45-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his stepdaughter continuously for six months, police said on Monday.

"The accused has been identified as Rajesh Kumar, a resident of Mongolpuri's E block. We arrested him after his 14-year-old stepdaughter approached the local police with a complaint that he was forcing himself upon her for six months," said a senior police officer.

Police said Kumar had married the complainant's mother 10 years ago. "We have registered a case at the Mongolpuri police station and arrested the accused," the officer said.
