
Man injured in accidental firing on bus
A man was accidentally shot at in a moving Blueline bus in Bawana area of outer Delhi on Thursday. The 30-year-old man was injured when a passenger, who was also in the bus, was checking his locally-made revolver. He reportedly pulled the trigger accidentally and injured a person. The victim was identified as Puran. He is a resident of Manka village.
The incident occurred around 1 pm on a Blueline bus plying between Narela and Nazafgarh. The police said Puran was going to Nazafgarh when the incident occurred. He was on his seat when a stray bullet hit his left leg.
The terrified passengers did not try to overpower the accused even as he de-boarded the bus and escaped.
The police believe that it was just an accident and the matter is not very serious. The victim was rushed to Maharshi Valmiki Hospital where his condition was reported to be stable. A case under section 326 of IPC and Arms Act has been registered and investigation of the case is on.
