MCD's sealing threat to DMRC

Coming down heavily on the DMRC, the MCD has threatened to seal all commercial establishments of DMRC, including metro malls, that haven't got a trade licence.

Coming down heavily on the DMRC, the MCD has threatened to seal all commercial establishments of DMRC, including metro malls, that haven't got a trade licence.

According to the civic agency, the DMRC is supposed to apply for a trade licence for commercial units operating out of the station area. Also, DMRC has been asked to pay property tax for those commercial units, which it has not paid.

Standing committee chairman, Yogender Chandolia, has directed all deputy commissioners to prepare a list of all shops that have not applied for a trade licence.

The civic body had sealed a mall at Inderlok Metro station on June 8, which was later opened on the direction of the Lt. Governor.
