MCD’s ‘vision’ to make Delhi smarter, cleaner, greener
The MCD has decided to commission a study and bring out a ‘Vision Document 2025’, charting out its developmental goals for the city of making it ‘smart, clean and green’.
A resolution was passed in the Standing Committee of the MCD on Tuesday in this regard. “MCD commissioner has been asked to ensure the vision document is completed by May 31," said Yogender Chandolia, chairman of the Standing Committee of the MCD.
Under the study, a survey will be carried out to identify the issues that affect Delhiites and compare the city’s conditions with the global best.
The proposal was floated by BJP councillor Rajni Abbi, who said it will help policymakers streamline their planning and make delivery of services more efficient.
