Minor among members of arrested robbers' gang

Police on Saturday arrested a robber and apprehended his juvenile accomplice for their alleged involvement in several cases of robbery and snatching.

The duo along with their other associates had recently robbed one Vinod Kumar, a resident of Sangam Vihar, of his cash and other valuables after stabbing him in his back with a knife. Police have recovered an Election I-Card of the victim from the possession of those arrested. The accused has been identified as Rohit Das, a resident of Tughlaqabad village in south Delhi.

Ajay Chaudhary, additional CP (southeast), said Kumar was walking towards his house when some youths blocked his way and tried to snatch his bag. "Kumar resisted after which one of them caught hold of him and another stabbed him on his back. They robbed him of his cash and his bag and fled," said Chaudhary.

He said efforts were on to arrested the other absconding accused in the case.
