Terminal 1B, which has been closed since April this year, was being demolished and some heavy iron structures were being removed with the help of wielding machine.

"During this, some waste paper and other trash, which were lying in the terminal building, caught fire," a senior CISF official said.

The fire was immediately doused and no one was injured. The flight operations were not affected as the terminal is not being used, he said.
