Mishap claims three members of a family
Three members of a family were killed when their car skidded off the highway in Hodal (Haryana) on Sunday morning. The accident occurred on National Highway (NH) 2, about 50 km from Faridabad.

Four members of a family from Delhi were on a pilgrimage trip to Koshikalla Shani temple, when their Swift car hit a tree and skidded off the highway. Those travelling in the car were Varun (19), Ajay (19), Sonia (24) and Jitendra Kumar, husband of Sonia. Sonia and Ajay were siblings.
The police said it was raining when the accident occurred. Ajay died on the spot, whereas Varun and Sonia died in hospital. Jitendra’s condition is critical and he is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Palwal. “The driver of the car hit a tree and skidded off,” said Dharmpal Bharadwaj, DSP Hodal.
