While one-litre full cream milk now costs Rs 32 a litre instead of Rs 30, toned milk in poly-pack is up to Rs 24 a litre from Rs 23. The price of vended toned milk has also risen from Rs 22 to Rs 23 a litre. There is no change in the prices of double toned and skimmed milk. The new prices came into effect from July 4.

Mother Dairy has attributed the rise to increase in fodder prices. In the past two years, the cooperative has increased prices of all milk variants by almost Rs. 3.50 a litre.
