The victims were on their motorcycle and were hit by an unidentified vehicle around 10:40pm.

"They have been identified as Bobby Singhal and Anil Kumar; they were returning home from New Delhi railway station. It is a case of hit-and-run as the driver of the vehicle escaped from the spot," said a senior police officer.

A passerby saw the two victims and then informed the police about the accident.

"They were rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared them brought dead. It appears that the motorcycle
was dragged by the vehicle to some distance after it was hit. They were both returning to Anil's house in Budh Vihar at the time of the incident," the officer added.

The victims were into foam business. Police said both the bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination.

A case of causing death due to rash and negligent driving has been registered at Punjabi Bagh police station.
