Congress on Monday sought to dismiss the Left's demand that the UPA should seek a fresh mandate if it wanted to go ahead with the Indo-US nuclear deal.
Party spokesperson Abhishek Singhvi told reporters that Congress feels the deal was in the interest of the nation.
Noting that a mechanism was in place to sort out differences between the UPA and the Left on the nuclear deal, he said all such issues should be resolved within that mechanism by all concerned.
