Navy chief Admiral Nirmal Verma on Tuesday honoured children, who will be given the National Bravery Awards on Republic Day for overcoming odds and scripting extraordinary tales of valour. HT reports.

Navy chief Admiral Nirmal Verma on Tuesday honoured children, who will be given the National Bravery Awards on Republic Day for overcoming odds and scripting extraordinary tales of valour.

Admiral Verma and his wife Madhulika hosted a gala reception at the Navy House for 19 children and proud parents.

Commending them for their exemplary courage, the navy chief said he was humbled by the bravery displayed by the children and their deeds would serve as an inspiration for everyone, including men in uniform. He also lauded parents for instilling such values in their children.
