Newborn’s body found in hospital

NEW DELHI: T he body of a newborn was found at a washroom at Lok Nayak, the biggest Delhi government hospital in central Delhi, on Monday afternoon.

NEW DELHI: T he body of a newborn was found at a washroom at Lok Nayak, the biggest Delhi government hospital in central Delhi, on Monday afternoon.

“The baby was very small, new born. It was so small it had gone through the drain pipe,” said a person who was in the washroom when the baby was discovered.

The baby was found inside the men’s room on the first-floor of the casualty around 1pm. The area was immediately cordoned off and the reporter was told the washroom was under maintenance.

The medical director remained unavailable for a comment.
