"If there were any differences, would we have been talking? We are attending functions together," Singh told NDTV in an interview when asked about his reported differences with Jaitley.

According to party sources, Jaitley was miffed with Singh for appointing businessman Sudhanshu Mittal as party's co-convenor of the North East region.

Jaitley was protesting the grant of any important post to Mittal as the latter allegedly has a reputation of being a money-bag with high connections.

Singh said reports of his differences with Jaitley were a media creation and hype. However, he agreed that the two may have some issues to discuss but these were not differences.
