No relief from heat yet, expect clear sky today

However, Sunday is expected to be clear and hot.

The day's minimum temperature was also a notch above the average at 29.1 degrees Celsius, while the humidity levels wavered between a high of 50 and a low of 23 per cent.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhiites can expect a hot and dry Sunday.

"The skies would be clear and the maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to be around 42 and 29 degrees Celsius, respectively," the IMD said.

Friday's maximum and minimum temperatures were both a notch below the average for the season at 39.3 degrees and 27 degrees Celsius respectively.
