No respite from hot weather for Delhiites

Hot weather was back in the capital on Thursday as maximum temperature remained over 38 degrees Celsius amid high level of humidity even as the city witnessed sporadic rainfall.

Hot weather was back in the capital on Thursday as maximum temperature remained over 38 degrees Celsius amid high level of humidity even as the city witnessed sporadic rainfall.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 38.4 degrees, three degrees above normal. The minimum was recorded at 25.2 degrees, the Met department said.

While the maximum humidity was 94 per cent, the minimum was 50 per cent.

The maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded at 33.9 degrees due to rains. The Safdurjung station recorded 5.6 mm of rains on Thursday. Monsoon showers, which were eluding the capital for sometime, lashed the city throughout the day yesterday.

The Weatherman has forecast partly cloudy sky with thundery development on Friday.
