on the ills of smoking. Ritesh Sharma, director-producer of the group, was optimistic about the campaign.

The chief guest, Union health minister Anbumani Ramadoss, came on stage to preach about the ills of "smoking, alcohol, drugs and junk food". After a brief tussle with the mike, he continued talking about plans of setting up a rehabilitation centre on campus in the next two months as well as imposing a ban on smoking in all public and private buildings starting October 2.

A group of girls from Miranda House didn't show any enthusiasm. ' We don't think such campaigns make any difference. Miranda is a smokefree zone though," said one of them. "Well, except the loos and the lobbies. But most of the smoke from Miranda goes to D School, ' they joked as they headed to.. where else but D School.
