“We have arrested a man in connection with the hoax calls made to police on Tuesday which led to extensive searches at various places across the city,” a senior police official said.

However, the official did not provide the details of the person arrested.

A series of hoax calls claiming that bombs have been placed at crowded places created panic in the national capital, keeping policemen on their toes.

The Central Police Control Room (PCR) received five calls in a span of four hours and 14 minutes on Tuesday but after extensive searches, all the calls were declared hoax.
