One-kg heroin smuggled from Pak seized

One kg of heroin worth Rs five crore in the international market, which was smuggled from Pakistan, was seized by the Punjab Police in Amritsar today.

One kg of heroin worth Rs five crore in the international market, which was smuggled from Pakistan, was seized by the Punjab Police in Amritsar on Sunday.

Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted a car, seized the heroin and arrested one person in this connection.

During interrogation, Angrej Singh, the arrested person, said the heroin was smuggled from Pakistan, police said.

Three-kg smack (inferior quality of heroin) worth Rs four lakh was also seized from Angrej's residence, they said.
