Pakistan high commissioner to India, Salman Bashir, today reiterated that instructions have been given to his country's army to observe truce.

Pakistan high commissioner to India, Salman Bashir, on Thursday reiterated that instructions have been given to his country's army to observe truce.

Bashir said that the Pakistani army did not cross LoC and did not plant landmines across LoC.

He stressed that the real need is to bring back normalcy.

"Business as usual is always a two way process and an iron curtain should not be allowed to descend," he said.

It's important that both India and Pakistan move attention to CBMs, the high commissioner said.

"I have great hope on Indian leadership and that they hope respond very maturely to defuse the current situation," Bashir said.
