Pak, Indian Foreign Ministers exchange pleasantries on eve of R Day
Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi today called up External Affairs minister S M Krishna, conveying Republic Day greetings and expressing hope for a positive outcome at the foreign secretary level talks between the two countries, next month.

Krishna, on his part, reiterated his invitation to Qureshi to visit India for bilateral talks and the Pakistan foreign minister said he is looking forward to the visit.
The ministers also exchanged views on the state of ties between the two countries. “Referring to the forthcoming meeting between the Foreign Secretaries of India and Pakistan in Thimpu, the Ministers hoped for a positive outcome”, the ministry of external affairs said in a statement.
Qureshi also thanked Krishna for his letter of condolence on the assassination of Punjab governor Salman Taseer. Krishna termed the incident tragic and once again conveyed his deep sympathies to members of the bereaved family.
