Pak says ready for composite dialogue, India stands firm

Three days after the Foreign Secretary talks between India and Pakistan, Foreign Office Spokesperson of Pakistan Abdul Basit claims the country was ready to hold a composite dialogue with India, but without riders.

Three days after the Foreign Secretary talks between India and Pakistan, Foreign Office Spokesperson of Pakistan Abdul Basit claims the country was ready to hold a composite dialogue with India, but without riders.

However, Defence Minister A K Antony responded by saying that Pakistan first needs to act against the terror camps existing on its soil.

AK Antony said that 42 terror camps are still thriving on Pakistani soil and went on to say that Pakistan is not serious about dismantling these terror groups. "42 terror camps are still intact there, that is my main concern. We feel there is no serious attempt or effort to dismantle these terror camps. This is the main cause of concern for us," said Anthony.

He also said the recent Indo-Pak talks could not be considered a failure as this was just a beginning and no
miracles were expected from this effort.
