In addition to an incomplete commercial complex, the work on two subways at Huda City Centre Metro station is also stuck.

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation's eco-friendly Metro station-cum-shopping mall is expected to be complete by October this year. But the undergoing construction activities have occupied a major portion of the station premises.

The six-floor complex is being constructed in consultation with Delhi-based The Energy & Resources Institute (TERI).

According to DMRC officials, trenches for two subways have been dug up but the work had to be stopped as high-tension power supply wires are yet to be removed to make way for subways.

“Despite several promises, the Haryana government did not remove these wires and we had to stop the work midway and trenches remain chocked from the other side,” said Daljit Singh, who earlier headed the Delhi-Gurgaon Metro rail project.
