Plea to Prez against 4-yr prog

The Joint Action Front for Democratic Education on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to President Pranab Mukherjee to request him to institute high-level external enquiry to review the advisability and feasibility of Delhi University new four year undergraduate programme.

The Joint Action Front for Democratic Education on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to President Pranab Mukherjee to request him to institute high-level external enquiry to review the advisability and feasibility of Delhi University new four year undergraduate programme.

The President was also requested to withhold the implementation of the programme.

The reasons for which the Front is opposing FYUP are the increased financial burden on students, multiple exit points, Mathematics being made compulsory for all and high pass mark for Bachelors' degree.
