Power cuts today in south Delhi

To facilitate the completion of Barapullah elevated flyover work, Delhi Transco Limited will shut down the 220 KV Maharani Bagh-Lodhi Road circuit I, which will result in many south Delhi areas facing power cuts on Tuesday.

To facilitate the completion of Barapullah elevated flyover work, Delhi Transco Limited will shut down the 220 KV Maharani Bagh-Lodhi Road circuit I, which will result in many south Delhi areas facing power cuts on Tuesday.

Power supply will be affected between 5 am and 12 pm.

“In view of this shutdown, areas under the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), CGO complex Lodhi Road, South Extension, India Habitat Center, Defence Colony, Lajpat Nagar among others will be affected,” said a senior Delhi Transco official.

Officials added that though alternate arrangements have been made by BSES Rajdhani Power Limited, in case of any emergency load shedding will be carried out.
