Private buses to ply from October

The first set of corporate-run private buses will start plying across the Capital from October this year. On Monday, Delhi government’s transport department signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Star Bus Services Private Limited to run 232 buses on 31 pre-defined routes in cluster 1 in south Delhi.

The first set of corporate-run private buses will start plying across the Capital from October this year. On Monday, Delhi government’s transport department signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Star Bus Services Private Limited to run 232 buses on 31 pre-defined routes in cluster 1 in south Delhi.

The company will roll out the first set of 40 buses in six months from now, that is from October.

According to Delhi transport commissioner R.K. Verma, it is for the first time in the country that a private bus operator will run the buses in an organized manner.
