All security agencies in the city have also been asked to verify credentials of their employees before the Commonwealth Games.

During a recent security audit of various commercial complexes in Gurgaon, it was found that guards were not trained and many were unfamiliar with the working of security gadgets. Private agencies have also been directed to furnish information about their employees every month.

"Colonies where private guards are posted are now more vulnerable to crime. In Nirvana and Southcity, where private guards man the area, 11 cases of thefts have been reported in the past six months. Another company offering services at DLF Colony is also under the scanner as 33 cases of various crimes have come to the fore from this area," Gurgaon Police Commissioner S.S. Deswal said.
